Once you have mastered the colors vocabulary it is time to introduce a simple English sentences pattern and important English Grammar.
Two by Two is a fun game where you need to connect two, three, four or even five of a kind. Simply slide a tile up, down, left or right to make a pair. When you make a pair you will hear “They are (a colour)”. This introduces this simple but very important issue of plurals in English.
If you hit a tile that cannot be moved to make a pair you will hear “It is (a color). This introduces the simple English sentence.
Sets of three get more points than pairs. Sets of four get more than sets of three. As the game progresses more colors are introduced to the game making it more difficult to find pairs. However, the latter colors might have a X2, X3 or even a X4 in the top right corner. This multiplies their value.
Simple English Sentences Summary
Two by Two is a timed game. You only have 60 seconds to get as many points as possible.
- Game Purpose: Match pairs and triples to get the highest score in sixty seconds.
- Educational Purpose: Introduces the singular and plural sentence patterns
- Hint: Sets of three or four will give you extra time!
