Long and short vowel ‘Uu’
The letter ‘Uu’ is a vowel. This means it can make more than one sound depending on the letters it is combined with.
Long vowel ‘Uu’ makes the sound you hear as in double ‘oo.’ The long ‘Uu’ sound is usually pronounced when we see it in these letter combinations:
