What language skills are being developed?

These animal colouring worksheets are great resources to introduce early learners to animals and new vocabulary. By combining colouring with letter tracing, students practice:

  • Vocabulary reinforcement
  • Coordination
  • Fine motor skills

Teaching nouns to your ESL, ELL, or young learner

Nouns can be described as people, places or things. In these colouring pages, we are working with nouns, because animals aren’t action words or adjectives!

We can teach nouns by using the objects around us. What are some things or people around you right now?
